Zulu to You

The PNG adventures for Zulu continue into 2009 with a continuation of Strategic Business, Marketing and PR work for NCS and its associated businesses! This includes more travel to far-flung and interesting places and experiences including:

• Meeting the Commander of the PNG Defence Force
• Standing on the edge of  the world's 5th largest open cut goldmine
• People at the TOP– who LOVE Zulu’s pen!

We sold over 166 candle packages ( and produced over 350  packages total in other orders and samples) and raised around $250. This was donated jto Lucy Hobgood- Brown for HandUp Congo. Read about  how we are helping support materinty services in the Congo .

Jill Henderson ( "my partner in candles") and I, were pretty happy with this first campaign as it  co-incided I very hectic end of year when both of us had heavy work committments and overseas trips. We were very committed to our Soy Candle and community project and were thrilled to have supported Lucy as well as raising awareness about SOY Candles AND add to the pleasure of people's enviroments with our beautiful and eco-friendly products.

Thanks goes to Jill for partnering me in this exciting and delicious venture - she made all the candles for the Christmas 2008 Campaign. Jill has now handed over the Candle making reigns to me - so ALL of your candles will be made by me personally!!!!

• Zulu’s Community donated $250 to Lucy Hobgood-Brown and HandUp Congo - helping women and Maternity Services in the Congo. Read about Lucy witnessing the birth of twins in a dugout canoe here.
• 50 Basketballs were donated to to Sydney’s Youth over Christmas through Inspire Foundation – read more about where the basketballs went
• Cambodian quilts are still available! These quilts are made by women in Cambodia with HIV/AIDS from New Hope for Cambodian Children. Either buy a quilt as a gift for $150 - or raffle one at your work or in your community to raise $150 for your charity – read more about Cambodia quilts
